Cheltenham is the most complete Regency town in England and has a wonderful variety of quality shops and restaurants. It is also the venue for festivals of music, literature and horse racing while the two theatres provide a stage for players from around the country. A short drive brings the country lover to the glorious Cotswolds. There are numerous villages and hamlets to explore and lunch in a Cotswold pub of a 'pint and a ploughman's' is hard to beat. The attractions at Bourton on the Water, which is not far off, are famous throughout the world and include the Model Village, Birdland and the Motor Museum all set with a background of the gentle river Windrush. Cheltenham and the area around is surely the best of England.
